Olivia knew she wanted her senior photo session to have a LARGE amount of variety. She loved the idea of having summer time vibes, beachy photos. She also wanted fall photos with allll the colors + track and cross country photos!

This session really made me fall even more in love with giving seniors a large variety of locations and vibes for their senior session. It really provides senior clients the ability to show off more of their style and personalities. Why chose one season for your senior photos when you can do summer and fall photos!

Olivia decided on Belle Isle for her summer senior session! We talked about all the spots and decided on the flower garden, fountain, beach, bridge AND the beautiful willow tree. I’m still so impressed when I think about how awesome it was to work with Olivia, we shot at so many spots and moved so fast. This senior session couldn’t have been more fun!

Olivia changed into her next outfit and we made the quick drive over to the iconic Belle Isle fountain. We picked Olivia’s white dress for the fountain photos, we immediately knew it was the perfect outfit!

After we finished on the rooftop we made our way down to the street and went to a few spots within a few minutes of the parking garage. Kennedi changed into the cutest green jeans and we captured some beautiful photos around downtown Detroit!

Kennedi changed into a black top and we decided to take a few more shots on the rooftop of the parking garage before we left downtown. The sky was beautiful and we loved how the rooftop photos were turning out!

Dressing the way you love most is SO IMPORTANT for your senior photos and Kennedi accomplished that very well! She dressed in mostly neutrals throughout her session and she loved the way we matched each outfit to mesh well with the locations!

One week after Kennedi and I shot downtown Detroit Michigan we traveled to Belle Isle, MI for beach photos! We obviously HAD to stop and include the Belle Isle fountain for some photos too. The fountain is just SUCH a good location for photos!

Kennedi chose the cutest green toned dress for the first photos at Belle Isle and I LOVED how it looked with the cream colored fountain and the prettiest blue sky!

After taking photos with the Belle Isle fountain we made the quick drive to the Belle Isle Casino. The old casino has a beautiful exterior and is great for portraits especially senior photos!

Kennedi’s dress choice is a great example of why neutral and muted toned outfits are your best option for photos you’re going to LOVE! They work so well with many locations! Her dress contrasts so well against the background without clashing, making each layer of the photo complement each other!

After the Casino we drove over to the bridge on Belle Isle and took some shots at the abandoned building near by. The sky was so beautiful for our bridge photos and once again her outfit was perfect for the scene! Senior photos on Belle Isle really provide a great environment for variety in your gallery!

Kennedi changed into her last outfit for the day and we made our way over to the Belle Isle beach. Kennedi was such a trooper and allowed me to pose her IN the water! Thankfully she had clothes to change into after but I’d say the photos were well worth it! Beach photos are always a recommendation of mine for all senior photo session, these are a great example why.

In the middle of October we traveled to Grand Rapids for Kennedi’s fall senior photo session and it was the perfect day for portraits! She once again brought AMAZING outfits for all the fall colors. She showed off her personality and we matched the outfits for each location spot and her photos turned out incredible!

We started the day hiking a trail to the beach, taking photos along the way and getting dreamy fall beach photos!

Kennedi changed quickly to jeans and a cream sweater that were PERFECT for fall beach senior photos! It was a windy day but she looked nice and cozy in her oversized sweater just enjoying watching the waves on a Saturday!

After we finished photos at the beach we made the drive to downtown Grand Rapids for a few different locations! The first was this beautiful white wall with cut outs. Kennedi had the cutest jean skirt and her black turtle neck looked SO GOOD against the white wall.

After the white wall in downtown Grand Rapids we drove to Aquinas College’s campus, my alma mater! Aquinas’ campus is beautiful and has a ton of spots to take portraits. We went to as many spots as possible before we ran out of light!

I absolutely love shooting senior portrait sessions in any and all environments! If you’re looking for beach photos, city photos, open field photos or in-home photos ANYTHING check out my galleries and fill out my booking form so we can get planning!
